The Working Group Bandages was established during the last ICC-Meeting in Vienna in May 2012.
Main working topic is currently the Stiffness of Bandages and how to measure it in vivo and in vitro.
The group is open for discussion around all matters related to the medical effectiveness and material
characteristics of Compression Bandages.

Discussion of the final version of the publication "In vitro measurements of compression bandages and
bandage systems: a review of existing methods and recommendations for improvement" by Jan Schuren
Discussion of the differences between in-vitro- and in-vivo-Stiffness-values
8.30 - 12.00h
Crown Plaza Copenhagen Towers
Oerestads Boulevard 114-118
Copenhagen S 2300
Discussion of boundary conditions and requirements of in vivo and in vitro measurement.
We already set up a list of parameters for measuerment and would like to find suggestions and
defaults for the values of these parameters.
For a reproducible Measurement of Stiffness a reproducible Wrapping of the Bandage(s) is mandatory.
Mr. Eugene Peeters from Veldhoven; NL, and one of his colleagues will present an hand held device
and a robot for automatically wrapping of bandage to a (human) leg.
